Emily Carmona 

Hey plant people! I’m the Lead Market Coordinator for the Houston Plant Market  and a proud Plantdemic Plant Parent! 🌱 What started as a “just one plant” situation during the pandemic quickly turned into a full-blown leafy obsession. I spent nearly every weekend at plant markets, so eventually I thought… why not run them? Now I get to bring the plant fam together, wrangle amazing vendors, and create a space where fellow plant lovers can connect, shop, swap tips, and show off their growing jungles.

Community Coordinator 

Trent Geer 

Whaddup, It’s Trent! Your very own Community Coordinator of Houston Plant Market! I’m a Virgo, my favorite plants are Orchids, and I’m also a big fan of ferns, begonias, and moss!

Beyond that, if you know me you already know I’m an avid amphibian aficionado! I’ve been keeping frogs and salamanders for the better part of 10 years now, frogs have always been my favorite animal and I honestly love that I get to spend my time working with them to hopefully create a more stable industry of captive bred animals across the US! Ask me about my frogs 🐸

I’ve also got two cat babies, my sweet angel Moon, and my spicy boy named Fry.

I’m also a member of the Plantcon Podcast team, we are hustling to release this first season of content and it's coming along great! I may drop some episodes and sound bites on my page from time to time too! Keep an ear out for Plantcon Talks and Plantcon live!

I’m a Pisces, so yes—I’m probably daydreaming about plants, animals, or my next favorite snack at any given moment. I’m a proud blend of Bolivian and Palestinian roots, and I identify as gender neutral. I’m the Market Assistant at the Houston Plant Market and the Volunteer Coordinator for PlantCon (aka the plant lover’s paradise). I’m also a Licensed Veterinary Technician, so caring for animals is a big part of my heart—and my everyday life. I specialize in terrarium plants that stay small, and I share my space with a little crew of reptiles, amphibians, and my two beloved cats, Fry and Moon, who are basically my entire world. I’m a total foodie, a mental health advocate, and someone who’s learning how to make peace within myself so I can bring more peace into the world."

"Howdy brothers, I’m Avery! 🤠 I am the Market assistant for the Houston Plant Market and a Gold star volunteer 🤩 With Plantcon International! I work as a gardener for the Museum of Fine Arts so I’m always surrounded by plants! As a former Veterinary Technician I also have a deep love for animals, my favorite being the Capybara! My other passions include spending time with my lil family which includes my dogs, rats and my wonderful boyfriend 🥰, hanging out with my friends and watching my comfort show- Bob’s Burgers. I love thrifting, baked potatoes and making people laugh whenever I can. I’m an actress at heart and love sharing a good story with anyone willing to listen. (Silly voices and ridiculous facial expressions included) While still overcoming my anxiety, being apart of this community has helped my confidence and I'm looking forward to future endeavors! "

Hey, I'm Jacob!

I’ve been with withheart since 2023. Starting out with the very first PlantCon to now being apart of both hpm and PlantCon on the social media side! I help out with the socials! I love all kinds of plants and love sharing them on TikTok! I'm also a bit of a nerd and enjoy gaming! Games like Pokémon, Minecraft and Zelda!

You can usually find me at every market! (Definitely one of my favorite weekend activity's!) If you see me there, don't be afraid to say hi i love making new friends! Happy planting!

Hi, I'm Sergio! - 29-year-old volunteer photographer for the Houston Plant Market, plant enthusiast, and certified smile-catcher. Born on August 23rd (yes, a true Virgo through and through), l've been hooked on photography since middle school. My mission is simple: catch you smiling in a great photo you'll definitely want to save! When I'm not behind the camera, you'll probably find me tending to my beloved anthuriums, curating my closet, or teaming up with my fiance and friends at the Houston Plant Market. I believe every photo tells a story — whether it's a candid laugh, a quiet moment, or a snapshot that makes you say, "Yep, that's me." Oh, and if you ever want to chat scary movies, Scream is my all-time favorite. Also, fun fact: Sometimes I get to pull a name out of the raffle box, fingers crossed - maybe one day I'll pull your name!
